Heidelberger Weihnachtsmarkt: ‘Tis the Season!

November is quickly coming to end. Heaters are officially on, we’re already wearing our winter coats and scarves for the chilly and overcast days, and coffees taste even better when you’re cold. As we approach the end of the month, there is one thing that is definitely on our minds: Christmas! Soon, the city of Florence will be decorated with lights and nativity scenes, buildings and shops will be adorned with holiday cheer, and there will be Christmas trees in many of the piazzas. Soon, the atmosphere will be filled with the joy and spirit of the holiday season.

Contemporary Art in Frankfurt

Two weeks ago the Museum Studies MA students took a field trip to Frankfurt, Germany. From Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon we saw five contemporary art museums and had a little time to explore the city. It was a busy 53 hours but it was a great experience to visit a new country together and learn more about contemporary art!

EXPO 2015

Imagine 100,000 people in one small space, all trying to stuff themselves with delicious food and good memories. This is an accurate description of EXPO2015, essentially the modern world’s fair. EXPO is the World Food Expo, a shared space where the countries of the world get together, build their own pavilions, and then share their cultural cuisine with the visitors to their pavilions.

Cheap Travel in Europe

After weeks of studying and preparing for midterms fall break finally arrived and many of our students traveled to amazing places all over Europe. This year the popular destinations of our Marist Italy Freshman class include Greece, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Budapest, Spain, Prague, and Portugal.
